Uncle Scrooge And His Pet Sea Monster Want YOU!

Uncle Scrooge And His Pet Sea Monster Want YOU!

On 13 November 1789, Benjamin Franklin, Founding Father of the U.S. Constitution, wrote his last great quote, a saying about the Constitution and life that became true about five months later.

“Our new Constitution is now established. Everything seems to promise it will be durable, but, in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes,” Franklin said.

And thus a prophecy began…

Because 231 years later, we know the Constitution means absolutely nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

This year, more than ever, the so-called “freedoms” promised in Franklin’s Constitution have proved as easily dissolved as an antacid in water. They could use it in a TV advert: “The Only Thing That Dissolves Faster Than Tums Is Your Constitutional Freedom.”

Perhaps the quote should have been: “Nothing is more certain than death and higher and higher taxes for middle- and higher-income earners.”

And people continue to pay up, because they believe that in exchange for producing and handing over the money that government uses to fund their tyranny, the State gods will keep them safe and secure against all the bad people and threats to their hard-earned, white picket fence lives…

I suppose – unless they CREATE those threats to wield more control and extort more money through more taxes.

What can you do?

You can’t evade taxes because that’s illegal, and you will end up in jail.

I repeat, never ever evade the tax man.

On the other hand – tax avoidance is perfectly legal. And it’s highly beneficial to you and your fellow man.

Today I'm going to tell you how avoiding taxes doesn't only help you save money; it creates a better world.

A popular saying attributed to Franklin is, “a penny saved is a penny earned.”

Yet how are you supposed to save any of your earned pennies or dollars, when the monster Leviathan government swallows every piece of your silver as its due sacrifice?

The only way it can continue to do so is if you allow it as part of mankind’s age-old bargain with the devil.

The relevance of this lies in Hobbes’ 16th-century social contract theory, referred to as Leviathan, which argues for rule by an absolute sovereign. Supposing that sovereigns are unities compacted out of separate individuals; they are omnipotent; they cannot be destroyed or divided; they inspire fear in men; they do not make pacts with men; theirs is the dominion of power” on pain of death.

In simple terms, the social contract theory defines the legitimacy of the state's authority over the individual. In terms of the social contract, individuals consent, either explicitly or tacitly, to surrender some of their freedoms and submit to the authority (of the ruler or to the decision of a majority) in exchange for protection of their remaining rights or maintenance of the social order.

Sound familiar?

Interestingly, lexicographers in the early modern period believed that the term “leviathan” was associated with the Hebrew words lavah, meaning “to couple, connect, or join”, and thannin, meaning “a sea serpent or dragon”.

And by keeping on feeding this monster in exchange for its guardianship, you are perpetuating its absolute reign of dominion and tyranny.

If you care about the Free World, and certainly if you care about freer life for yourself and your family, avoiding taxes is more than your right.

It is your responsibility.
